Free movies at MAC? Inconceivable!

February 28, 2020

Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You love movies? Prepare to watch them at Mesa Arts Center!

To kick off Mesa Arts Center's new Sound + Cinema music and movies series on Saturday March 7, we're showing The Princess Bride, with live music ahead of the screening by local band People Who Could Fly. (Music at 7pm, movie at 8pm).

The free series invites people of all ages to hang out and enjoy a movie on the campus south lawn after the sun goes down, blankets and folding chairs encouraged. Don’t worry. We’ve cleared the lawn of any R.O.U.S.’s (rodents of unusual size). And we’ve invited some food vendors with kettle corn and shaved ice. Soft and hard beverages will be available for purchase, including the As You Wish, a tequila drink with elderflower, grapefruit and lime, and the Ginger Root (nonalcoholic), with ginger beer and cranberry.

Can’t make it in March? Save the date for future movie faves Jurassic Park on April 4 and Spider-man: Into the Spider-Verse on May 2, and find all the details at www.mesaartscenter.com/sound&cinema.

Mooowwwiies. Moowies is wot bwings us togevah, too-day too much? Ok, ok. We’ll see you there.
