As spring break approaches, many of us are wondering how we’ll keep the family busy and entertained. Mesa Arts Center has just launched an all-new series of arts camps for spring break to fire up the imagination and build new creative skills. The affordable options include a week-long Mural Arts Camp, an Actors Toolbox camp presented in partnership with Southwest Shakespeare, Papermaking for pre-teens and teens, and one-day Glass Bead camps. Whether you’ve got a budding actor or visual artist on your hands, the MAC Arts Studios program has you covered.
Mural Arts Camp is a 5-day workshop that introduces participants to muralism and components of the art-making process. The end result is a new network of friends and a collaborative group mural. Actors Toolbox builds acting skills through an immersive theater experience. Papermaking teaches participants how to make sheets of paper from recycled material, and students can make as many sheets as possible during these one-day workshops. In glass bead camp, students will create beautiful and unique glass beads.
