If you have been following CC over the last few months, I’m sure you have heard whispers of a new and exciting project we are incorporating into the already amazing realm that is Creative Catalysts. This concept project is, after all, why I was lucky enough to join the team in the first place. I came on board to foster the already awesome engagement opportunities CC offers, yes, but my main mission is something I'm super excited to finally share with you all. Or if you're heard the whispers, to give you more details AT LAST!
If you are a 20-something artist, educator, and/or lover of all things creative, I want to join forces with you. Kind of like when all the Power Rangers get together to form one giant, awesome Power Ranger, except our weapons are art supplies, music making, learning, leadership, dancing, acting, and literally anything else you can think of to empower ourselves in the arts. As future leaders of the arts world in this amazing state of Arizona and beyond, at this time of our lives, it is more important than ever to utilize the learning outlets, networking, and other education opportunities for growth that are available to us. I’m here to tell you that Mesa Arts Center can offer those kinds of opportunities with this new initiative specifically designed FOR this age/interest group BY this age/interest group. As someone who is in this niche myself, I am stoked to get to lead the pack to design with you the things we need and want.
What does this mean exactly? Let’s work together to create opportunities that you want to be a part of or lead. Workshop for Teaching Artists? Sure! Touring backstage at MAC learning about lighting design? Let’s freakin’ do it. Monthly concerts for local performers with new themes each month? Uh,yes please! I’m telling you -- the sky’s the limit. To start this awesome revolution, I want your help designing this program.. If this sounds like something you’d be into, please reach out to me! We are holding a super-casual first meeting on April 18th at 6:00pm at the Moxy Hotel Lobby. I want to hear your voice and share my initial ideas! Space is limited for the first meeting, so please RSVP to Lies’l Hill at email@example.com ASAP!
Can’t wait to see you there. This is going to be awesome.
