  • DATE & TIME Oct 29, 2026 7:30 PM
  • LOCATION Virginia G. Piper Repertory Theater
  • ALL-IN PRICE(S) Start at $42

Mark and Maggie O’Connor’s America 250 celebrates 250 years of the American violin—an instrument that tells the nation’s story. From the early fiddling of Washington and Jefferson to today’s blend of bluegrass, jazz, and classical, the O’Connors embody the evolution of America’s sound.

A multiple Grammy and CMA Award winner, Mark O’Connor bridges tradition and innovation as both performer and composer. His works—including “Appalachia Waltz” and PBS’s Liberty! An American Revolution theme—capture the spirit of a nation in motion. Featured in Ken Burns films, the Grand Ole Opry, Carnegie Hall, and the 1996 Olympics, he has carried American music to six continents.

Together with fellow Grammy winner Maggie O’Connor, their America 250 performances honor the country’s founding ideals while showcasing the enduring beauty of the American violin.

Classical Music Inside Out is under the artistic direction of GRAMMY® Award-winning Cellist Zuill Bailey. Zuill Bailey is underwritten by Bill Passey and Maria Silva.
