Prerequisite: a beginning level wheel throwing ceramics course

Perfect your mug-making skills while developing a signature style uniquely your own. This class focuses on the art and craft of creating exceptional mugs, exploring diverse approaches from elegant and minimal to bold and sculptural. You'll dive deep into form, surface design, handle attachment, and glazing while being encouraged to produce sets that allow you to refine your ideas and develop a cohesive personal aesthetic. Through experimentation and repetition, you'll discover what makes the perfect mug—for you and for those lucky enough to drink from your work. Clay is available for purchase from the box office and may be picked up the first day of class.

Downtown Mesa parking can be limited during busy events. Parking is $10 and is available in our south lot or in the Sirrine Street Garage (only open for public parking after 5 PM on weekdays, and anytime on the weekends). To secure an accessible parking spot, we strongly recommend arriving at least one hour before showtime.

Theater Events Bag Policy:

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, each patron is allowed to bring one bag into the facility. This includes purses, backpacks and similar personal items.

Exceptions:

Medical bags and other essential items required for health or accessibility are exempt from this limit. These items will not count toward your one-bag allowance.

Bags must be no larger than 18"x14"x8"
