“I just make cups.” -Ehren Tool
Join us in One East Pop-up for a wheel-throwing demonstration and conversation with MCA artist-in-residence, Ehren Tool. A Marine Corps veteran of the 1991 Gulf War, Tool has made and given away more than 26,000 cups. Participants will also get the opportunity to decorate a keepsake cup* thrown by the artist.
Ehren Tool is a ceramic artist whose work is heavily influenced by his service in the Marine Corps and his subsequent return to the civilian world. He received his MFA in 2005 from the University of California Berkeley. Tool just makes cups and believes peace is the only adequate war memorial.
