Step into the magical world of paper! Learn different ways to change paper with featured artist Jennie Sweo at her mask-making workshop in the courtyard, explore storytelling through paper bag players and go on paper adventures in the galleries during storytime.
Featured in Cut, Crumpled, Remembered, Jennie Sweo studied painting, drawing and graphic design at California State University, Northridge (BA) and University of North Texas, Denton (MFA). She received her Ph.D. in design studies from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. She has had many exhibits of her artworks in the United States and Russia. Her research focuses on the development of a principled rule system (drawing style grammar) that can assist with examining a drawing style and how to borrow from it by using a model of grammar.
