Drop in to Mesa Contemporary Arts Museum now through June 28 to learn basic crochet techniques and to contribute your creations to the newest installation from wearable technology designer, Galina Mihaleva. Titled ‘Interlaced: The Fabric of Connection,’ this interactive installation will incorporate handmade textiles created by members of the community into a responsive environment featuring light and sound. The installation will be on-view during the Fall Exhibition Season, opening August 14.

We also have a dedicated classroom space in the museum lobby that can be reserved for free during our open hours for groups interested in contributing. If you are interested in reserving the classroom, please call our front desk at 480-644-6560.

Interlaced: The Fabric of Connection is an immersive, interactive exhibition that explores the strength of human connection through the tactile and symbolic language of crocheting and webbing. Drawing on the communal tradition of textile-making and the structural intelligence of organic webs, the exhibition transforms the act of craft into a collective digital ecosystem—an environment that grows, reacts, and evolves through participation.
