Recon/Figured represents a disruption and reimagination of traditional figurative ceramics. Rooted in communal care, celebration and interrelational complexity, these four artists’ work asks viewers to join in, to squeeze past other party-goers and to share space with racialized and gendered bodies within the gallery context. The exhibition features the ceramic artwork of Kristy Moreno, Soojin Choi, Sydnie Jimenez and Haylie Jimenez. This exhibition is guest curated by MC Baumstark.
