The Takach 3460 variable speed intaglio press is one of the industries top presses. It is an ideal press for printing many different types of print processes up to and beyond a standard large printmaking sheet of paper. Students can continue to enjoy printing on our original Giffin 3256 hand operated intaglio press. It is sure to bring fond memories of the old printmaking studio!
Mono-screen prints will be possible to print on specially designed tables and a custom power, washout room designed by David to effectively expedite the washing out of screens. Specially designed screen drying racks allow forced air to quickly dry the screens.
Serigraph edition printing will be possible on a specially designed unit called the Seri-glide serigraph press. A digitized metal-halide exposure system will effectively expose screens or plates for various light sensitive film and emulsion processes.
