David Manje, Painting and Printmaking Studio Lead Instructor
David Manje earned a BFA degree in Printmaking and an elementary and secondary art education degree from Arizona State Universty. His first six years of art instruction were in the public schools. While working in a local printmaking facility producing monotype prints, he became the studio art instructor at the Mesa Arts Center where he continues, after 22 years, to offer a wide range of visual arts classes that include drawing, pastel, airbrush, watercolor and oil painting. He supervises a visual arts staff that allows him to also instruct printmaking where many techniques art taught. Mr. Manje has produced his own work for many years and has had local, national, and international gallery representation. He has exhibited and had gallery representation in local Scottsdale galleries for over fifteen years.

Marlys Kubicek, Drawing and Painting Instructor
Marlys Kubicek has been involved in art most of her life. Her main interest has always been drawing and painting the figure. Over the last ten years, Marlys has taught numerous classes at universities, museums and various municipal community arts centers.

Susan Douglas, Drawing and Painting Instructor
Susan Douglas is an Arizona native who has been painting professionally for over twenty years, and an art educator for ten years. She has a Doctorate in Education. Her work can be found in many private and public collections.

Sarah Clemens, Painting Instructor
Sarah Clemens combines her fine art skills with studies in art history and medical illustration. For the last sixteen years, she has prepared medical artwork that has been pivotal in the settling of major cases. She brings many skills to her students that she acquired while earning a Fine Arts degree from Florida Atlantic University, and other studies under master instructors. She currently exhibits her work in galleries in Scottsdale, Boca Raton, and Los Angeles.

Helen Jennings, Drawing Instructor
Helen Jennings earned a BFA degree from Arizona State University with a focus in Drawing in 1981. She currently exhibits her work in Bigfork and Polson Montana. She has taught colored pencil workshops in San Diego, and the Arizona Museum for Youth in Mesa, Arizona. She has also presented the Art Masterpiece series for the Mesa Public Schools.
