Jazz from A to Z

Sponsors

Boeing Sponsors Mesa Arts Arizona Commission on the Arts

A partnership between Mesa Arts Center, ASU Public History, Mesa Public Schools and Jazz at Lincoln Center, Jazz from A to Z creates a meaningful connection to one of America’s greatest cultural resources- jazz. Taking a note from the qualities of jazz, and using the National Endowment for the Arts – Jazz Curriculum as a guide, this program provides opportunities for students and educators to improvise, analyze, synthesize, engage in group collaboration, develop an 'individual voice', and broaden cultural perspectives. Workshops and classes are complemented by free tickets for students and educators to attend live performances by the Lincoln Center in the Ikeda Theatre.
