Holiday Art & Music Festival

The annual Holiday Art & Music Festival is the premier place to find unique gifts for the holidays! The festival features original works of art for sale from nearly 100 local, regional, and national artists in 13 mediums, live entertainment showcasing local talent on two stages, live artist demonstrations, a variety of children's activities, and a plethora of culinary delights from local food vendors and restaurants!

Kick off the holidays at Mesa Arts Center at this fun and exciting community event!

2009 STAGE SCHEDULES

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 12

NORTH STAGE

10:00am ELIXIR
The ELIXIR sound is an energetic, soulful, soothing, entertaining mix of cover from Old School R&B, Motown, Smooth Jazz and funk.

12:30pm Sugar Thieves

3:00pm Novo Mundo
From swinging sambas and sizzling salsa to soothing bossa novas and romantic ballads, the group Novo Mundo plays traditional music from Brazil and Cuba, seasoned with a jazz flavor.

SOUTH STAGE

10:00am Brian DeMarco
New to Phoenix, Brian brings a mixture of Acoustic, Roots, and Indie.

12:15pm Walt Richardson
A seasoned, local favorite that needs no introduction; mixes folk, rock, and reggae.

2:45pm Shelby James
Americana with great picking, lilting melodies, and consistently first rate lyrics that sound like the result of seasoned experience and conviction.

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 13

NORTH STAGE

10:00am Triple Double Band
Dubbed as the soul-soothing funky reggae blues party, Triple Double Band fuses together a vivid collection of styles that dazzle folks with their highly energetic live performance.

1:00pm Surf Side IV
Four guys from Phoenix, Arizona playing the killer instrumental surf rock inspired by your favorite First Wave artists. Reverb-soaked, high-speed guitar, bass, and drum acrobatics. They put on a stage show that is sure to move any crowd.

2:30pm Bad Cactus Brass Band
New Orleans's Second Line Street Jazz Band based in Phoenix, AZ. Their repertoire includes funky dance music, traditional Dixieland, Swing, and pop songs reinterpreted with brass band sound.

SOUTH STAGE

10:00am Steel String Assassins
Two guys and their guitars that weave a mixture of acoustic jams including covers and original works.

12:00pm Tobie Milford

Indie Folk

2:30pm Vanessa Atlanta
