Capoeira is the Brazilian "dance fight" that is easy to learn but takes a lifetime to master. Rediscover your body through holistic movements that will have you reach and twist and stretch to the rhythm of the berimbau! If you have been curious about the art of capoeira and weren't sure where to start, this workshop is for you. 

During the 2-hour workshop we'll learn:

The three essential escapes - Esquivas
Two core kicks

Come play with clay and make a custom animal-themed planter in this hands-on workshop! Beginners welcome--we will learn pinch and coil building techniques to create and decorate a functional planter pot. Once your piece has been fired in the kiln, we will schedule a follow-up workshop in collaboration with Mesa Urban Garden to plant your own herb or succulent for a finished piece. Capacity: 14
