School’s Out for Summer (And scholarships are available for summer arts camps!)

June 12, 2018

School is out, the sun is up, and the young are restless. Still looking for something that doesn’t involve YouTube or sunburns for your school-age children to do this summer? We’ve got just the thing!

Mesa Arts Center’s Summer Arts Camps are a staple for summertime fun. Kids ages 1st through 7th grade can explore their creative side with drama, dance, music, video, and visual arts classes offered with weekly themes. OR if they want to dive in head first, they can try immersive camps focused on ceramics (ages 8-12), jewelry (ages 11-15), graphic arts (ages 7-12), glass fusing (ages 10+) or hip hop (ages 12-17).

The best part? Scholarships are available for families in need. Thanks to generous support from individual donors and the Arizona Community Foundation, MAC has fully funded scholarships for youth to attend a summer camp program.

To apply, families can either pick up a form in the box office or contact Art Studios to receive the form directly. Families can also visit www.mesaartscenter.com/index.php/classes/info to complete and submit the form electronically under Fee Assistance & Scholarship Info.

Length and cost of camps varies. Registration is ongoing and details for each camp are available online at www.mesaartscenter.com/classes.
