Joint East Valley Children's Theatre for our 2007-2008 Season of great family entertainment.
EVCT opens its season with the world premier of "The Snow Queen", an original musical by local playwright C. Lynn Johnson and composer Kathie McMahon. Join Gerda on her advertures as she searches for her friend Kai who has been sursed by the wicked Snow Queen. A great story, a terrific play and memborable music will entertain the entire family.
In February, EVCT bring to life the winner of its 2007 Aspiring Playwriting Contest, "The Frog Prince" by C. Lynn Johnson. An inept witch has mistakenly changed a prince into a frog and can't remember how to undo the spell. It is only with the kiss from a true princess that the prince can be restored to his former self. This delightful and witty play is a must see for people of all ages.
The season at EVCT ends with the musical "Oz!", the advertures of Dorothy, by Vera Morris with music by Bill Francoeur. In OZ, all the familiar characters appear, plus some new one, and of course Dorothy realizes that "there is no place like home". This wonderful new adaptation of the Wizard of Oz is a great way to spend time with the family.
