We say “Hooray” for all the memorable music from decades of television and filmmaking in this concert featuring soprano Melissa Spevacek.
Fans of classical music — or Bugs Bunny — will recognize selections from Barber of Seville and William Tell Overture, while followers of author J.K. Rowling’s young wizard will delight in the music from Harry Potter.
We pay tribute to Tinseltown’s Golden Age with Cole Porter’s 1932 hit Night and Day featured in the film The Gay Divorcee, to movie music classics including South Pacific and Zorba the Greek and to contemporary works such as Quincy Jones’ Soul Bossa Nova from the film Austin Powers.
