"From Gumm to Garland: JUDY, The Musical" (the workshop "Production") chronicles the life of Judy Garland beginning with her stage debut at age 2½ to her untimely death in 1969 ending with a finale saluting the woman credited as one of the "world's greatest entertainers." Nearly forty years after her death, the Production pays tribute to Judy Garland's remarkable life and an even more incredible talent. The musical authentically traces her life from the Gumm sisters' family act in Vaudeville; to MGM studios and her movies; to "two a day" concerts at the Palace Theater; to Judy's triumphal concert at Carnegie Hall - along the way capturing the complexity and exuberance of Judy Garland's life.
