A Call to Artists and Collectors!

by Elana Gonzales | October 23, 2018

Living somewhere as creative as the Phoenix area is truly a treat for artists and art collectors alike- so why not bring the two groups together to further build up the art community?

This fall, Mesa Arts Center is bringing together local artists and collectors at the BidUP! Silent Auction Fundraiser. This event will feature the work of artists from Arizona and beyond. Participating artists are asked to create an original work in any medium of art that does not exceed 24 x 24 x 24 inches. The artwork will then be displayed from Nov. 14-16 and sold in a silent auction format on Friday, Nov. 16 from 6-8pm. The free Sale and Reception event will include the premier of the 2019 Art Print Calendar, artists in attendance, a cash bar and sweet treats, and musical entertainment provided by Dusty Ramblers Project, so definitely bring your friends and family!

Artists, show off your work! Artists ages 18+ are welcome to apply up until the Oct. 26, 2018 deadline. All wall objects must be ready to hang and a completed application form MUST accompany the work. Participating artists will receive a voucher good for 20% off (a $40 value) the purchase of one 2018 Original Art Print Calendar and a voucher good for one free entry to a MCA Museum juried exhibition. For more information on the event and on how to submit, visit https://www.mesaartscenter.com/bidup.

All proceeds from this event will benefit the museum's beautiful exhibitions and awesome educational programs, so come support!
